Pumpcat Tablerunner - PDF Sewing Pattern
The adorable little Pumpcat is hiding out amongst the pumpkins on this sweet little tablerunner. It's raw edge appliqué, a perfect scrap buster with a flanged scrappy binding. Super fun to make and perfect as a table runner or why not a wall hanging for fall and halloween? What will your pumpkin patch look like?
This pattern comes with both inch and centimeter measurements.
BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY
This is an excellent pattern for the beginner quilter, the appliqué process is described and it should be easy to follow even for the novice quilt maker. However it assumes knowledge of doing a normal binding, but the scrappy flanged binding is described in detail.
Finished size: 29” x 12” (74x30cm).
12 ½” x 29 ½” (32x75cm) - Background neutral: Cotton fabric for the background.
15 x 32” (38x80cm) - Backing: Cotton fabric for the back.
6 ”x WOF (16cm x WOF) - Flange: Cotton fabric for the brown binding flange.
Scraps - Orange: Cotton fabric scraps in different orange tones for the pumpkins, cat and binding, 3 pieces should be at least 8x10” (20x25cm).
Scraps - Green: Cotton fabric scraps for leaves and binding.
Scraps - Brown: Cotton fabric scraps for nose, stem and biding.
15 x 32” (38x80cm) - Batting: Your preferred quilt batting for table runners, like Hobbs 80/20, Warm and Natural, Bamboo batting or similar.
0.9 yards (80cm) - Fusible web: Fusible web for adhering the applique pieces, like Heat n Bond Lite, Vliesofix Bondaweb, Lite Steam a Seam or similar. Amount based on a bolt of 17” (43cm) width.
Dark chalk pen for marking lines.
Ink pencil for tracing applique pieces.
Scissors for paper.
Rotary cutter, cutting mat and ruler.
