The Adelaide Animal Card Holders are an adorable trio of little animal wallets that are quick and fun sew. The pattern includes three designs - a fox, panda and owl - each with its own personality and plenty of possibilities for getting creative with your fabric choices. With a little imagination, you can even turn them into other animals such as hamsters, leopards and more!
Each card holder has two card pockets with a secure snap closure, giving you space for cards as well as a little cash or a few coins. Their small size makes them perfect for using up treasured scraps of cork, vinyl, faux leather, thin leather, kraft paper and other non-fraying materials.
And if you have a cutting machine, they're even more fun! ❤️ SVG cutting files are included for all three designs, so you can let your machine handle the detailed cutting and get straight to the sewing.
They're wonderfully quick little projects for gifts, stocking stuffers, craft fairs or simply when you feel like making something cute without committing to a full-size bag.

Beginner
The Adelaide Animal Card Holders are a great project for a beginner bag maker. The construction itself is simple, although the small pieces and detailed shapes require a little patience when cutting and sewing - particularly if you're cutting them by hand.
If you're using the included SVG files with a compatible cutting machine, much of the fiddly cutting can be done for you, making these especially quick and satisfying little projects.
MEASUREMENTS
Approximately 2 ¾" (7cm) high, 4" (10cm) wide and ½" (1cm) deep.
FABRIC & SUPPLIES
Fabric:
Vinyl 13x13” (33x33cm):
Vinyl, faux leather, cork or similar where the edges can be left raw for each card holder.
Scraps in different colours for eyes and details.
Hardware/notions:
1 - Kam snap or snap button:
For the “nose/beak” closure. If you use thick vinyl, a metal snap button might be needed due to thickness.
Non-permanent marker:
For making temporary marks, that can be removed with water, heat or similar.
Glue
A regular glue stick for paper works, it's for temporary hold but you can of course use proper fabric glue if you prefer.
100/16 sturdy sewing machine needle (preferably a topstitch kind).
Rotary cutter, cutting mat and ruler (or a cutting machine that can handle SVG files).
Fabric clips.
