What Files Are Included With My Pattern?

The exact files included with your Pink Pony Design pattern depend on the pattern you've purchased, but here's a quick guide to what you might find in your download. 

PDF pattern and instructions

Every Pink Pony Design sewing pattern includes a PDF file containing the sewing instructions and pattern pieces.

This is the main file you'll use to make your project.

The PDF includes step-by-step instructions with colour photos, along with the pattern pieces you need to print. You don't need to print the entire PDF - only the patttern pieces at the end of your .pdf file.

SVG cutting files

Some Pink Pony Design patterns also include SVG files.

These are cutting files designed for compatible electronic cutting machines, such as Cricut, Silhouette or Brother machines.

Not every pattern includes SVG files, so check the individual pattern description to see whether they're included with your purchase.

If you're cutting your pattern pieces by hand, you don't need the SVG files - just use the printable pattern pieces in the PDF.

English and Swedish patterns

Pink Pony Design patterns are available in English and Swedish.

Depending on the product and the language option you selected when ordering, your download will contain the relevant version of the pattern. If you accidentally ordered the wrong language, no worries, just contact me and I'll send you your preferred language version. 

Why are my files inside a ZIP folder?

If your download contains several files, they may be bundled together in a ZIP file to keep everything together in one convenient download.

A ZIP file is simply a compressed folder. Open or extract it first and you'll find the individual PDF, SVG or other included files inside.

Still not sure which file to use?

Don't worry - for normal printing and sewing, the PDF pattern is the one you want.

SVG files are an optional alternative for cutting pattern pieces with a compatible electronic cutting machine when they're included with the pattern.
